Hopefully you showed up for our meeting thursday in Thomson's. If not, the link for the presentation is here with updated dates for the 2015-2016 competitions. We have also added several new slides in green at the bottom for contests not discussed during the meeting, such as photo and essay contests with some pretty nice prizes (DuPont Challenge and $100K in random stuff, anyone?). Links to EVERY CONTEST have been painstakingly updated in the slides, so please do take a look even if you went to the meeting.
Speaking of sign-ups, Science Olympiad sign-ups are now open! UNDERCLASSMEN now's your chance -- no experience is required. UPPERCLASSMEN do it for the prizes and the fun (cough colleges cough). If more than 45 people sign-up, tryouts or a first-come, first-serve priority for subject sign-ups wil be initiated. The link to sign-ups are on our website under the Science Olympiad sub-page (direct link to sign-up form here), and all build events will be subsidized by club funds from fundraisers (so buy stuff from our fundraisers! The money goes back to you guys anyways).
If you are interested in presenting your summer research to Science Club, email [email protected] or message the presidents Alex and Nandita your topic of research and intended presentation date. We're interested in hearing your research -- research presentations are a core part of our club. COSMOS presentations should be presented by mid-November. Email us as soon as possible!
