Class of 2020
Class of 2019
Joseph Li was co-president of the science club during 2018-2019. In addition to ranking Platinum in USACO, he earned a silver medal in the USAPhO semifinals and is a USABO semifinalist. He current studies CS at Carnegie Melon University.
Jamie Hong was co-President of Science Club during 2018-2019. She was also Vice President of the Internet of Things Club, and was the 2019 Salutatorian. Throughout high school, she performed in Europe as part of the orchestra, took classes in Mexico as part of the Spanish language program, and also participated in tennis and track. She currently studies EECS at UC Berkeley.

Chengzi Guo was co-president of the science club during 2017-18. She was a 3x Biology Olympiad semifinalist, 2x Siemens semifinalist Excellence in Research Award from American Society of Gene Therapy, and was the 2018 Valedictorian for Saratoga High School. In her free time, she like to do competitive horseback riding. She is currently studying at Dartmouth.
Tristan Xiao was co-president of the science club during 2017-18. He is a 4x AIME qualifier, is ranked Platinum on USACO, and plays varsity tennis. He is currently studying EECS at UC Berkeley.

Karena Chow is a former co-president of Science Club who did a lot of math, physics, and computer science competitions in high school. She is now a computer science major at Caltech.
Austin Cai was co-president of science club from 2016-2017. He performed Alzheimer's and genetics research over two summers in high school, and was also involved in Science Bowl. He was also part of the Media Arts Program and ran Cross Country. Currently, he studies at Stanford, where he is majoring in symbolic systems (CS + psychology + linguistics + philosophy), minoring in history, and also performs in a Japanese drum ensemble.
Nicholas Sum is a former co-President and Science Club enthusiast in his time at Saratoga High. In high school, he was involved with many things on campus such as Cross Country, Track, Science Bowl, and Quiz Bowl. Other things he did on campus were sucking the life out of his bio bottle, dying over AP tests, having fun with friends, and watching YouTube videos. He now attends Princeton University as an Electrical Engineering major where he also plays in the Princeton Pianists Ensemble (I LOVE PPE!) . He continues to love science and hopes that Science Club continues to be as fun as it was when he was there.
Class of 2016
Alex Li was co-president of science club from 2014 to 2016. He was a semifinalist in the physics, chemistry, and biology olympiads. Alex enjoyed conducting physics research, becoming a semifinalist in both the Siemens and Intel STS competitions. He was a member of the Science Bowl A team from sophomore to senior year, and was captain of the 2015 and 2016 teams. Outside of science, Alex played on the SHS varsity volleyball team for 3 years and was a captain of the speech and debate team. Alex currently attends UC Berkeley as a Regents’ Scholar.
Nandita Mohan was co-president of the science club during the 2015-16 school year. She conducted biophysics research and participated in Physics and Biology Olympiads. Outside of science, Nandita played varsity lacrosse, loves guitar and photography, and was a member of the New Student commision. She currently studies computer science and biology at Cornell.

Landon Chow was co-president of the science club for the 2014-2015 school year. He was a USAJMO qualifier and two time USA Physics Olympiad Semifinalist. In addition to helping organize the first Science Olympiad team, he was also the second youngest member of Saratoga's historic 2nd place finish Science Bowl team, and was captain of the 2015 science bowl team. Landon currently attends the University of Pennsylvania.
Class of 2014
Robert Eng was co-president of the science club for the 2013-2014 school year. He was a four year Science Bowl varsity team member participant, leading the team to a 2nd place finish as captain during his senior year. Robert helped organize the school's first ever science olympiad team, participated on a history bowl team that qualified for nationals and served as the school's ASB treasurer. Robert attended Caltech for his undergraduate studies.
Tommy Chiou was co-president of the science club for the 2013-2014 school year. He was a two time US Biology Olympiad Semifinalist, and helped put together the first Science Olympiad team. Tommy graduated from Pomona.
Nick Chow was the vice president of the science club for the the 2013-2014 school year. He was a three year Science Bowl varsity team member, an opinion editor for the school newspaper, and also captain of the history bowl team which took 2nd place in the nation during his senior year. Nick graduated from Princeton University.
Class of 2013
Amanda Chow was the president of science club for the 2012-2013 school year. She was both an Intel STS Semifinalist and a Siemens Competition Semifinalist. Additionally, she qualified for the USAJMO in 2010 and USAMO in 2011. In the 2011 Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) competition, Amanda led her team to a first place finish in the state and then the nation. Amanda graduated from Stanford University.
Jackie Gu was co-president of the science club for the 2013-2014 school year. She served as a student coach of the science bowl team and had numerous other involvements with the club. Jackie graduated from Brown University.
Kevin Garbe was a 2013 Intel STS Finalist, having attended the prestigious Research Science Institute. He was on Saratoga's state champion chess team and developed an android application that helps the Gates Foundation fight Malaria in developing countries. Kevin graduated from Stanford University.
David Zarrin is a four time ISEF attendee - thrice in high school and once in middle school. A regular award finisher in the Synopsis Science Fair, his high school career culminated with a 2nd place finish in the ISEF Engineering category. In addition, David is an Eagle Scout and the captain of Saratoga's varsity cross country team. David graduated from UC Berkeley as a Regent's Scholar.
Class of 2012
David Eng was the Science Club president for the 2011 – 2012 school year. He was both a coach for and a participant of the science bowl team, and a 2012 Siemens Competition Semifinalist. David served as the editor in chief of the Saratoga Falcon, and played varsity basketball and baseball. David graduated from Stanford University.
Alissa Zhang was a Siemens Competion Semifinalist and an Intel STS Finalist, eventually finishing 9th among the 40 Finalists. She is a multiple time USAMO qualifier and MOSP attendee, and was a member of Saratoga’s 3rd place (Regional Round) winning Science Bowl team. She graduated from Harvard University.
Hansen Qian was a Siemens Competition regional finalist. He was a long time participant in the science bowl team, winning 3rd in the regional competition, and was a member of the national and California 1st place JETS team. Hansen also participated in orchestra and varsity track. Hansen graduated from Princeton University.
Myron Zhang was also a long time member of the science bowl team and helped the team place 3rd in the regional competition. He was also a 2011 US Chemistry Olympiad Semifinalist and a member of the national and California 1st place JETS team, in addition to leading Saratoga's history bowl team to an appearance in the national competition as well. He graduated as Saratoga High School's class of 2012 valedictorian. Myron graduated from Yale University.
Elaine Chou was a 2011 Chemistry Olympiad Semifinalist. She was the class of 2012's salutatorian and a member of Saratoga's varsity Track and Field team. Elaine graduated from Princeton University.
Brian Wai was a multiple time USAMO qualifier and MOSP attendee. He was also a US Physics Olympiad Finalist. He has a stellar track record at local math competitions, including high finishes at Stanford Math Tournament and Harvard-MIT Math Tournament. Brian graduated from Stanford University.
Arnav Dugar was the president of Science Club and a member of the 3rd place winning Science Bowl Team. He served on the Falcon newspaper staff and was an Eagle Scout. Arnav graduated from UC Berkeley as a Regent's Scholar.
Class of 2011
Albert Gu is widely considered to be one of the greatest math/CS students ever to attend Saratoga High. He was a multiple time USAMO qualifier and MOP attendee. Albert was also a USACO Gold division programmer and USACO Finalist. In 2011, he was selected to represent the United States at the International Olympiad in Informatics where he earned a gold medal. Albert graduated from Carnegie Mellon University.
Amol Aggarwal was a multiple time USAMO qualifier and MOP attendee. He was also a 2011 Intel STS Finalist, a US Physics Olympiad Semifinalist, and a member of the school's chess team that won the state title six years in a row. Amol graduated from MIT.
David Zeng was a multiple time USAMO qualifier and MOP attendee. David was a US Chemistry Olympiad Semifinalist and US Physics Olympiad Semifinalist, and graduated as the class of 2011 salutatorian. David graduated from Stanford University.
Daryl Chang was the president of the science club from 2010-2011 and formed the original science bowl team. He was US Chemistry Olympiad Semifinalist and Siemens Competition Regional Finalist, and graduated as the class of 2011 valedictorian. Daryl graduated from Stanford University.
